Team Memorial

Call for students, faculty, staff and retirees

糖心APP will be an exciting hub of activity from Aug. 8-25 when thousands of athletes, coaches, officials and spectators will join our community for the 2025 Canada Games. This is a unique opportunity to provide a warm welcome to St. John鈥檚 campus and to give prospective students a memorable experience. The deadline for submissions June 13, 2025.

Available Roles

Team Memorial will support outreach activities and our parking plan on St. John鈥檚 campus. Each role requires two hours of time to participate. A limited number of roles are available. 

Showcase ambassadors

In the spirit of 糖心APP鈥檚 centennial, help us to showcase campuses, programs and people that make 糖心APP special. Each day of the Games, different units/departments will host the official Team Memorial Canada Games booth, located in an outdoor location (weather pending) near the Queen Elizabeth II Library. Ambassadors will interact with campus visitors, share information about Memorial and assist booth hosts with planned activities and giveaways. Shifts are expected to run as follows:

  • 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
  • 12 p.m.-2 p.m.

Parking stewards

Parking stewards will be our MVPs of the Games. They鈥檒l work with Campus Enforcement and Patrol to help manage parking lots and ensure access for those with permits. These two-hour shifts will run from Monday to Friday throughout the Games. Shifts are expected to run as follows: 

  • 8 a.m.-10 a.m.
  • 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
  • 12 p.m.-2 p.m.

You鈥檒l also be on the frontline of Games activities taking place on St. John鈥檚 campus, helping to present a welcoming and positive presence for people from across Canada. With your help, the Canada Games will be a wonderful experience for everyone involved!

All Team Memorial participants will receive training, plus a Team Memorial t-shirt and hat.

We encourage interested faculty and staff to work with your manager to ensure your participation in Team Memorial activities aligns with your unit鈥檚 operational needs during the Games.

Team Memorial roles are not affiliated with the  and are not eligible for Memorial鈥檚 Volunteer Leave.
