Writer in Residence 2027 - Winter 2027
The Department of English & Communication and Media Studies invites applications for a Writer in Residence for Winter 2027. In the course of the residency, the author will work on their writing projects while making time available to students and writers within the University and in the community at large. We welcome applications from writers working across genres, in diverse fields or media.
Authors wishing to be considered for the position are asked to provide a letter of application which describes the work to be undertaken during the residency, a curriculum vitae, a list of produced work, and a writing sample of current work of up to 20 pages. The deadline for applications is Friday, November 13, 2026 at 4:30 pm. Remuneration for the position will be $10,000. Electronic applications should be addressed to:
