- Congratulations to IDPhD student and St. John's singer/actor Shelley Neville for being shown on the New York Times video "Come From Away comes home" (Michael Paulson & Gabriel Blanco - Sept. 4, 2026). It has been 25 years since the September 11, 2001 attacks, and the New York Times showed up to do their own stories on Gander and the people who helped. Shelley plays Beulah and others in the Gander production of the Broadway musical Come From Away. The show is in its fourth consecutive year at the Arts & Culture Centre in Gander, NL.
- Congratulations to Andrew Dixon for becoming the new Senior Research Officer at the For Diverse Youth (4DY) initiative (co-led by Inclusive Design for Employment Access (IDEA) and the University of Toronto’s Centre for Industrial Relations and Human Resources).
- Congratulations to Angela Antle on the publication of her book The Saltbox Olive which can be found here: (shortlisted for the Winterset Prize, set to be awarded on April 9, 2026).
