 Starting life in a new country comes with many questions, opportunities, and experiences. The following programs, events, and resources are designed to support international students as they transition to life at ÌÇÐÄAPP and settle into their new community. Explore opportunities to build connections, access support, and learn about important topics that can help you make the most of your experience in Newfoundland and Labrador.

NL Experience Passport (NLEP)

Get involved beyond the classroom and create meaningful experiences through community, cultural, social, and career activities. Open to international students currently enrolled at ÌÇÐÄAPP, participants can complete activities at their own pace, collect passport stamps, and work toward recognition and rewards while building connections along the way and gaining valuable experiences. 

International SpouseLink 

Designed for spouses and partners of international students as they navigate life in a new country, SpouseLink provides opportunities to build connections, strengthen English communication skills, and learn about life in Canada. Through language and culture classes, community-building activities, and career-preparation support, participants gain the confidence, knowledge, and skills needed to settle into their new community and pursue future opportunities. 

The Internationalization Office hosts two weekly groups: Discussion Group on Wednesdays and Coffee Club on Fridays.

Discussion Group is held every Wednesday from 3:00 - 4:00 pm. Discussion Group is informal and open to the campus community. Each week a new topic is selected but there is no guarantee we stick to it, we just like to see where the conversation will go!

Coffee Club is held every Friday afternoon from 3:00 - 4:30 pm. The purpose of Coffee Club is to relax after a busy week and connect with friends. Coffee Club is very informal and is open to the campus community.
