Science at the Mall
In the 1990s, the Department of Mathematics and Statistics periodically held an event at the Avalon Mall in St. John's known as Math in the Mall. Faculty and students gathered to present exhibits which promoted math to the general public (and especially to children) in fun, interesting and educational ways.
This tradition was revived and expanded in the early 2000s to become Science in the Mall, as other members of the Faculty of Science joined the Department to present more activities. We hope to bring it back again!
