Resident

• An educational contract will be completed at the beginning of each rotation.
  
  
• Evaluation by the preceptor will be completed at mid and final points for each rotation.
  
  
• Mini-Clinical Evaluation Exercises and Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment Evlaaution Tools, which are observation-based evaluations by the preceptor.  These will be completed on each rotation.
  
  
• Residents or preceptors also complete field notes to document feedback on core competencies.
  
  
• Residents receive feedback on their academic and scholarly work presentations.
  
  
• All evaluations will be reviewed quarterly by the COE Competence Committee. If problems are identified, they will be discussed at the Care of the Elderly Residency Program Committee meeting.

Preceptor and Rotation

• Evaluations of the preceptors and of the rotation are to be completed by the resident on each rotation.
